JOHN RICHARDSON'S "LICHTENSTYLE"

John's "LichtenSTYLE" work, as he refers to it, has a special, timeless quality, never seeming to date or waiver in popularity and is a popular request in the illustration commissions he receives.

Roy Lichtenstein was an American painter and a leading exponent of 'pop art' in the 1950s and 60s. He developed what's known as the 'Benday dot' technique, finding it to be the ideal medium for his own, indvidual artistic expression. In today's world of illustration and cartooning, the term 'Lichtenstein' is known by many. An admirer of this instantly recognisable style, John Richardson developed his own technique in conducting similar illustration work - what he calls 'LichtenSTYLE' . Using compositions of black line, vibrant colour and dotted areas, John has done scores of original illustrations in this style.
